- Designed and authorized by Marooned_Marin, the original design Triton model is inspired by the tragic story of the real TRITON (1836-1859), who sailed under the Imperial and Royal Navy of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. She was sunk by a magazine explosion in her anchorage off the cursed island of Lokrum near Dubrovnik in the Adriatic on May 9, 1859.
- Backstory:
TRITON is a war brig with two masts, both square sails, equipped with 12 cannons and two lighter but deadly accurate swivel guns. She is known for her speed and exceptional maneuverability, so much so that an experienced captain could turn her around almost on the spot. No wonder she quickly became the most sought-after ship of the Imperial soldiers and the main threat to any pirates who still dared to plunder the Brick Seas.
With Captain Redbeard still missing and presumed dead (while actually stranded in Barracuda Bay), the scattered pirates face their darkest hour in their fight for independence from Imperial rule. They must find a way to deal with TRITON or perish!
