Mocsage 1/125 UCC Los Angeles-class military nuclear submarine building blocks

Authorized and designed by bru_bri_mocs, this 1/125 scale UCC Los Angeles-class submarine is inspired by the United States strategic nuclear submarine and has every detail beautifully rendered. The Los Angeles-class submarine is a nuclear-powered fast attack submarine (SSN) in service with the U.S. Navy. Also known as the 688-class (pronounced "6-88"), after the hull number of the lead ship USS Los Angeles (SSN-688), 62 examples were built from 1972 to 1996, with the last 23 built to the modified 688i standard.

As of 2024, 24 Los Angeles-class submarines will remain in service—more than any other class in the world, and they make up nearly half of the U.S. Navy's 50 fast attack submarines. The class is named after American cities such as Albany, New York, Los Angeles, California, and Tucson, Arizona, with the exception of the aircraft carrier USS, which is named after the "father of the nuclear navy." This contrasts with the traditional naming of attack submarines after sea creatures such as the wolffish or the shark. The reaction to the decision to name submarines after cities (and sometimes influential politicians on defense issues) was: "Fish don't vote."
