- Background introduction: Jinan Old Railway Station is located in Jinan City, Shandong Province, China. It is also known as Jinan Station of Jinpu Railway. It was built in 1912 and completed in 1992. It is a German-style building designed by German architect Hermann Fischer. · Fischer is an architect from Germany. He just graduated at the age of 24. Jinan Railway Station was his first major architectural project. The station building reflected contemporary architectural trends and became one of the best examples of Art Nouveau in Germany.
