- Designed and authorized by count_of_brick, this model is based on a German World War II light cruiser. The ship features a bow deck that runs most of the ship's length and ends behind the superfiring aft turret. Its superstructure consisted of a forward conning tower with a heavy tubular mast and an auxiliary conning tower at the stern. Armed with nine main guns, one at the bow and two at the stern, arranged in pairs. This model is well designed, sturdy and aesthetically pleasing, taking into account the fun of assembly to provide high ornamental and collection value.
- The Köln was a light cruiser, the third member of the Königsberg class, in service from 1929 to March 1945, including during World War II.
Köln served as a training ship for naval candidates in the 1930s and took part in non-intervention patrols during the Spanish Civil War in the late 1930s. After the outbreak of World War II in September 1939, several operations were conducted in the North Sea without encountering any British warships. Took part in the attack on Bergen during Operation Weserberg in April 1940 and was the only one of her class to survive the operation.
It returned to Norway in late 1942, but did not see any significant action. It remained there until early 1945, when it returned to Germany. In March it was sunk by American bombers in Port William. Its keel remained stable and its turret above the water. This allowed it to provide gunfire support to the city's defenders until the end of the war in May 1945.
