Designed and licensed by tralux21, Prager Straße is Dresden's main shopping street. It starts at the square in front of the Dresden train station in the south and extends to the Alter Markt in the north. Prager Straße was built between 1851 and 1853 and connects the old town with the Bohemian train station. This wealthy district attracted bankers and lawyers. Numerous shops and entertainment venues were established, making it one of the most prestigious streets in Dresden. In 1890, a new Dresden main train station was built on the site of the Bohemian train station.
