- Written and designed by Ronald Tewes, this V8 engine features a battery box and an L-shaped big engine. Features include carburetors, dual-plane intake manifolds, hydraulic camshafts, hub-style pistons, and classic cylinder heads.
- The Chevrolet Small Block Engine is a series of gasoline-powered V8 automobile engines produced by the Chevrolet division of General Motors from 1954 to 2003, using the same basic engine block. It is referred to as a "small block" due to its smaller size compared to Chevrolet's big-block engines, and is praised for its design led by engineer Ed Cole. The engine blocks and cylinder heads were cast at Saginaw Metal Casting Operations in Saginaw, Michigan.
- The small-block engine series was recognized by wtury.as as one of the 10 best engines of the 20th century by Ward's AutoWorld
