I400 Submarine building blocks
- The I400 was the largest submarine of World War II and remained the largest submarine until the construction of nuclear submarines in the 1960s. The I400 had enough fuel to circumnavigate the Earth one and a half times and it could carry three M6A1 Seiran bombers, allowing for rapid deployment into combat. This type of submarine was designed as large aircraft-carrying submarines for the Panama Canal locks and had a displacement of 3,530/6,560 tons, a speed of 18.7/6/5 knots and eight torpedo tubes on the bow.
