- The VIII Mainz (Meinz) was designed by count_of_brick as a German light cruiser and is based on the concept of a cruiser with 150 mm guns. She was developed from the Admiral Hipper (Admiral) heavy cruisers. The original plan called for the construction of two ships, respecting the restrictions of the treaties of the time. In-game, the Mainz has a high rate of fire for its main guns, higher damage output, and the ability to carry Hydroacoustic Search consumables at ranges of up to 6 kilometers.
