- Designed and authorized by count_of_brick, this model is based on a German World War II light cruiser. The ship features a bow deck that runs most of the ship's length, ending aft of the superfiring aft turret. Its superstructure consisted of a forward conning tower and heavy tubular mast, plus an auxiliary conning tower at the stern. Armament consisted of nine main guns mounted in three triple turrets. One at the bow and two at the stern, placed in pairs. The aft turret was offset to increase the angle of fire. The Königsberg was also equipped with four triple torpedo tubes in the center of the ship. This model is well designed, sturdy, and aesthetically pleasing, taking into account the fun of assembly to provide high ornamental and collectible value.
- Königsberg was a German light cruiser that served from 1929 to April 1940, including during World War II. Königsberg served as a training ship for naval candidates in the 1930s, and took part in non-intervention patrols during the Spanish Civil War in the late 1930s. After the outbreak of World War II in September 1939, it laid defensive minefields in the North Sea, and subsequently took part in the invasion of Norway in April 1940, Operation Weserberg. During the attack on Bergen, it was heavily damaged by Norwegian coastal artillery and sunk by Norwegian coastal guns. The next day, fighter-bombers of the Fleet Air Arm Blackburn Thief Gull were anchored in the harbor. The wreck was finally salvaged in 1942 and dismantled for scrap in 1947.
