  • Detailed replica of the historic T2 tanker "San Fernando Mission," launched in 1943. During World War II, she served on various charters to transport fuel to Allied forces in the Pacific. In 1964, she underwent extensive modernization and remodeling, including an expansion and renaming first "Muscle Shoals" and later "Vanguard." Repurposed as a Missile Range Instrumentation Ship, playing a role in the Apollo and Skylab projects and the Apollo-Soyuz Test Project. Along with her sister ships, the USNS Mercury and USNS Redstone (both converted T2 tankers), she played a critical role in closely tracking and maintaining vital communications links. The USNS Mercury was later converted to a bulk carrier and renamed SS Kopaa, while the USNS Redstone was scrapped on January 30, 1995. The USNS Vanguard was decommissioned in 1999 and transferred to the United States Maritime Administration and finally scrapped in 2013 in Brownsville, Texas.

  • Designed and licensed by Brick.naval.architecture, this tanker model is highly detailed and faithfully reproduces the design of the tanker.
