The futuristic multi-purpose naval vessel is a new type of naval vessel that represents a groundbreaking hybrid of a frigate and a destroyer. It has modular capabilities that allow it to perform a wide range of missions. The design is heavily inspired by the MPV-80 concept.

As the year 2034 approached, Theta Industries recognized the need for a versatile, moderately armed ship capable of performing a variety of roles. Theta Industries' designers conceived a revolutionary new naval vessel type that combined the best aspects of a frigate and a destroyer with modular capabilities for multiple mission profiles. Production began in late 2038, and by 2040 the first four ships had reached international waters. These ships were used by Theta Industries to escort frigates and other vessels, or to serve as escorts for auxiliary forces thanks to their cargo capacity. In 2041, Theta Industries generously donated one of these multi-purpose vessels to the Neo-Tasman Alliance for coastal patrol and rescue missions.
