- Completed in 1998, the Petronas Twin Towers are an iconic cityscape of the Malaysian capital city of Kuala Lumpur. They feature a total of 88 floors and a height of 1,483 feet (452 meters), two separate towers connected by a podium. The freestanding tower resembles corn and is also called Twin Peaks. The Petronas Twin Towers are designed to reflect the young, modest and modern character of the city of Kuala Lumpur and highlight the unique concept of iconic landscaping. They were the tallest buildings in the world from 1998 to 2004 until they were surpassed by the Taipei 101. The Petronas Twin Towers are still the tallest twin towers in the world.
