- This is a medieval MOC rose tower model designed and modified by Gilganesh. The outer wall of the tower is covered with bouquets of bright roses that extend to the tower's lookout point, and the red spire adds further magnificence to the tower.
- From the main street of Old Lyon, Rue Saint-Jean, turn north onto Rue du Boeuf where you will easily find the striking “Tour Rose”. The tower is located in a 16th-century mansion at 16 Rue du Boeuf, originally called Maison du Crible.
- The Rose Tower is said to have been built in the 16th century, and the surrounding buildings in the 15th and 18th centuries. Much research has failed to discover what the tower was for, except that the name of its architect was Sertio, and the buildings surrounding the tower look very old indeed, with some of the former porches only vaguely recognizable. In the courtyard wall below the tower are several nailed gates, one of which has a brass plaque indicating that this is the French Orthodox Theological Society. In the corner of the courtyard there appears to be an old, abandoned well.
