- Birmingham City Council House in Birmingham, England, is the headquarters of Birmingham City Council and thus the seat of local government for the city. It provides office accommodation for both salaried council officers, including the chief executive, and elected councillors, as well as the Council Chamber, the Lord Mayor's Suite, committee rooms, and a large and ornate banqueting suite with minstrel gallery. The external balcony on the first floor is used by dignitaries and winning sports teams to address the crowds gathered below. The Council House, which has its own postcode, B1 1BB, is located in Victoria Square in the city centre and is a Grade II* listed building. The side of the building facing Chamberlain Square is the entrance and facade of the Museum and Art Gallery, which is partly housed in the same building.
